Cherish every moment as long as you can. As I received the news this week, I was reminded why I do photography. So I had the wonderful opportunity to capture sweet family moments and take beautiful family pictures last spring. There were 4 generations of family that came together because 2 people fell in love! Capturing the unique connection of 4 generations is always special. This week, that family lost one of those loved ones. They now have those photos to cherish and remember him, especially those cherished senior portraits of their loved ones.
I first started my business because it was my passion and love. I loved capturing the moment that would be remembered in print forever. It was a joy to photograph seniors as they were ready to embark on a new journey, creating lasting memories through their senior portraits.
As time went on, I tried to grow my business and push to become what others were. I increased prices to compete in the market. I added galleries and choices of prints to my package. As I tried new things, I lost why I truly created RTM by Erica. Originally, it was about capturing the magic of family pictures across 4 generations or an individual’s special moments with loved ones.
RTM by Erica was created for those that couldn’t afford great pictures. The families that wanted Senior Portraits but couldn’t afford the fancy studios. Capturing senior portraits for these families at an affordable price was important to me. I wanted to capture the special smirk or smile that makes parents say…”That’s it”
